[LEGAL ENTITY NAME] warrants the iSmart Module against defects in materials and workmanship, on the terms below, for [WARRANTY PERIOD] from the date of original purchase.

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

1. What is covered

The module hardware and enclosure, and the firmware as supplied, where a defect in materials or workmanship prevents normal operation under the conditions in the documentation.

2. Period

[WARRANTY PERIOD] from the date of original purchase by the end user, evidenced by the invoice or receipt.

[State whether a repaired or replaced unit carries the balance of the original period or a fresh one — and note that some jurisdictions mandate the answer.]

3. What we will do

At our option we will repair the unit, replace it with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent function, or refund the purchase price.

[State who pays shipping each way, and expected turnaround.]

4. What is not covered

  • Installation not carried out in accordance with the documentation, or by a person not qualified to do that work.
  • Damage from supply voltage outside the rated range, surge, lightning, flood, or other external events.
  • Water ingress arising from an incomplete or unsealed installation, or from an enclosure left open or modified.
  • Chemical damage from siting the unit where it is exposed to concentrated chemicals or their vapour.
  • Accident, misuse, neglect, unauthorised modification, or repair attempted by anyone we have not authorised.
  • Cosmetic wear, including finish fading from sustained UV exposure, that does not affect function.
  • Consumable and wear items: [LIST].
  • Third-party equipment connected to the module, which carries its own manufacturer's warranty.
  • Loss or damage that is not the hardware itself — water, chemicals, energy, or an unusable pool.

5. Making a claim

Contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] with your proof of purchase, the module serial number, the firmware version, and a description of the fault. Do not return anything before we have issued a return authorisation.

[State the return address, the authorisation process, and what happens to units returned without one.]

6. Transfer

[State whether the warranty transfers with the property or the unit on resale. For fixed pool equipment, buyers commonly expect that it does.]

7. Your statutory rights

Consumer law in your jurisdiction may give you rights that this warranty cannot reduce, including remedies for goods that are not of acceptable quality or not fit for purpose.

Nothing here excludes or limits those rights. Where this document conflicts with them, they prevail.

[Several markets require prescribed wording here, and require the warranty to be available before purchase. Confirm per market.]

8. Exclusive remedy

Subject to the section above, the remedies in this warranty are the only ones we offer for a hardware defect, and all other warranties, express or implied, are excluded to the extent the law allows.
