Moov AI Pumps

Electrically the AI is the same as the VSP — one seven-pin connector, four digital inputs, a Modbus pair. What differs is the behaviour behind a speed command, because these pumps re-learn their own flow range.

The connection is identical to the VSP

The Moov seven-pin connector: four digital inputs and a common on pins 1 to 5, and the Modbus RS-485 pair on pins 6 and 7. — One connector, two ways in. Use the pair on pins 6 and 7 wherever you can.

Each input is asserted by closing it to the common on pin 5. The capacities behind inputs 2, 3 and 4 can be changed in the pump's parameter settings.

Moov pin 6 (green, RS485-A) to PORT terminal A and pin 7 (brown, RS485-B) to PORT terminal B, with pins 1 to 5 cut back and the PORT's G terminal unused. — Two conductors end to end. Modbus is a two-wire pair here, so G stays empty.

The module's four dry contacts driving Moov digital inputs 1 to 4, all returning through the yellow common on pin 5. — Four contacts and one common return. Every dry output on the module is consumed.

What is different about the AI

Self-priming can be exited by hand at the pump, which helps during commissioning.
With it disabled, a manual self-prime can still be triggered at the pump if the basket has drained after a long idle period.
After a self-prime the pump redefines its adjustable flow range, so the meaning of a given speed request can shift.

When it does not respond

Symptom	Where to look first
Ignores commands for the first half hour	Self-priming still enabled.
Modbus commands ignored entirely	A digital input is closed to common.
No communication	Swap green and brown, then check the serial settings.
Same request gives a different flow than last month	A self-learning cycle has redefined the range. Expected behaviour on this range.
